I find that observation is very important (duh!). The positive shapes are as important as the negative shapes, specially around the eyes. Plugged-in pre-natal. A painting that I did some time ago commenting on how soon children should be exposed to technology. People often debate how soon they should buy their children a smart phone. This illustration crudely depicts a fetus in the womb surfing the internet on a tablet. Not sure how the tablet got there 🤔. It’s interesting that the womb looks like a landscape with trees and clouds and Lightning, symbols of flux, movement, and chaos. A painting that I finally finished last year about the shackled sloth of social media. For the longest time, when social media was first introduced, I was very skeptical about it. I believed it alienated people and always assumed that it made people lazy and unproductive. I now see how social media actually connects people from around the world and facilitates exchange of ideas. In a way social media is the common consciousness of the masses. Can it lead to being lazy and unproductive? Yes. Can it be used purposefully and productively? Yes. Graphic design projects: freelance versus firm. • I'm sure this dilemma comes up a lot during your process of finding the right fit for your graphics solutions.
